Specify Part Markups and Discounts

Use markups and discounts to apply adjustments for parts and glass. You can apply markups and discounts to individual repair lines.

Markups and discounts on repair lines are added below the original repair line.

The original repair line is not changed. The discount or markup amount replaces any Estimate Profile settings that might have been in effect.

How to

  1. In Mitchell Cloud Estimating, click the Estimate icon . From the estimate in progress, click the Remove/Replace repair line that you need to edit.
  2. Click + Markup, adjustment, or explanation.



  3. Select an option from the list. The options may or may not include the following depending on the type of labor operation is selected:
    • Add Markup/Discount
    • Add Labor Betterment
    • Add Part Betterment
    • Add Part & Labor Betterment
    • Add Refinish Labor
    • Add Partial Refinish Deduction (-)
    • Add Additional Labor
    • Add Explanation

If PST tax is configured in the estimate profile, Canadian Mitchell Cloud Estimating users will see Include PST Tax check box instead of the Include Tax checkbox when adding child betterment lines (Labor, Part, or Labor & Part). When using HST tax, users see Include Tax. These settings are viewed on the following places in Mitchell Cloud Estimating: Repair Line of the EstimateAdd Manual Line

  1. Enter the markup percent or discount percent to apply to the price of this repair line. For discounts, enter a minus sign (-) in front of the percent (for example, -10).



  2. Click Done.
  3. The markup percentage (and corresponding dollar amount) appears below the repair line.
