Download and Email VIN-Specific Safety Recall Information
You can download and email VIN-specific safety recall information directly from Mitchell Cloud Estimating. This recall information is displayed in the application for supported manufacturers.
When you decode these supported manufacturers, the process automatically checks for open recalls for that VIN. The recall information is displayed while you are writing the estimate. You will also have the ability to see closed recalls.
How to
Decode a supported manufacturer vehicle with a safety recall.
- The recall information is visible in the New Job page after the vehicle information is entered.
- Click the arrow next to View Open Recall(s) to view the safety recall information. It is required that you view this information before saving your changes to the estimate..
The date and time are shown on the Vehicle page indicate when the recall information was last viewed. This information is for tracking purposes and is stored with the job so that it will be available if you change browsers or continue working later. - The details of the safety recall are available in the information tab. You can download, print, or email the information.
