Setting Up Your Account

Use the Account tab on the My Account window to review account information, add your shop information, and configure account settings.

Note: The My Account window is available in the standalone version of TechAdvisor. Use RepairCenter settings if you access TechAdvisor from RepairCenter.

How to

  1. On any page in TechAdvisor, click My Account.

  2. If not already selected, click the Account tab.
  1. On any page in TechAdvisor, click My Account.
  2. Enter or modify your shops information as needed in the Shop Information section.

  3. Click Save.

Configure you account settings. You can hide topics that are not part of your subscription, determine how many activities appear on the page at once, or set vehicle dimensions in diagrams and articles.

  1. On any page in TechAdvisor, click My Account.
  2. Select one of the following in the General section:
  • Yes: Hides topics that are not part of your subscriptions.
  • No: Shows all topics.

  1. Select the number of activities you want to show on the page in the # of Activities to show list.

  2. Select the Vehicle Dimension units displayed as your dimension values:
  • in: Inches
  • mm: millimeters

  1. Select one of the follow as the default hole point for the interactive viewer in the vehicle dimension model:
  • Edge
  • Center

  1. Click Save when complete.

Reference

The fields below provide information about your account. This information can only be modified by Mitchell.

Field Description
Org ID Organization ID. Used to identify your shop and used when you Sign In to TechAdvisor.
User ID User ID used to Sign in to TechAdvisor.
Number of Licenses Number of licenses available to your shop.
Email Main contact email for your shop.

Field Description
Name Business name.
Manager First and last name of your shop's manager.
Address 1 Shop address.
Address 2 Shop address continued.
City Shop city.
State/Prov Shop state or province.
Zip/Postal Shop Zip Code or Postal Code.
Country Country.
Phone Shop phone number.
Fax Shop Fax number.
Email Shop email.
Frame Labor Rate ($)  
Frame Setup Rate ($)  

Field Description
Hide topics that are not part of my subscription:

Choose to hide or show topics that are not part of your subscription. Select Yes here to hide topics that are not part of your subscription, to make it easier to select a desired topic from a smaller list.

 
# of Activities to show:

Select the number of activities you want to show on the page in the # of Activities to show list.

 
Units

Select either inches or milimeters as your dimension value.
Hole point Select either the Edge or Center as the default hole point for the interactive viewer in the vehicle dimension model.
