AutoCheck® Vehicle History Report

Vehicle history reporting is provided by AutoCheck, a part of Experian. Beginning with version 3.2, CARFAX vehicle history reporting will no longer be available within WorkCenter™ Total Loss. The AutoCheck vehicle history report provides information about a vehicle’s title, registration, and usage history comparable to the CARFAX vehicle history report. In addition, the AutoCheck vehicle history report provides the AutoCheck Score and Score Range. A vehicle's AutoCheck Score is based on information contained in AutoCheck vehicle history report. The AutoCheck Score rates the quality of a vehicle's history compared with all used vehicles on the road (after 1981). The Score Range provides a relative comparison to vehicles of similar model year and vehicle class.

The AutoCheck report provides important background information that may reveal problems the vehicle has had in the past. The report may include information about previous salvage activity, flood damage, odometer rollbacks, lemon history, junked titles, and state emission inspection results. WorkCenter Total Loss search also retains the ability to isolate claims with only Severe Problem history and to send a notification e-mail when a Severe Problem history is detected. Only a carrier with authorization can access a AutoCheck Vehicle History report. You can view the AutoCheck Vehicle History Report in both Detail and Document view.

The severe problem history icon (Prior Salvage History) appears next to AutoCheck or NICB reports for vehicles with a severe problem history, e.g., salvage title, air bag deployment, or frame damage.
