Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)
If you are licensed for the Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) option, you are able to use the PDR calculator in Mitchell Cloud Estimating. This calculator helps you accurately calculate labor for PDR.
Note: Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is an option that requires licensing.
How to

To add paintless dent repair to your estimate,
- Select the part and select the PDR labor operation. The PDR icon is disabled until you select an external panel that can have PDR applied.
- Select a vehicle panel or category.
- Click Calculate.
- In the Paintless Dent Repair window, enter the Quantity for each dent size and the cost of repairing a Larger Dent in the last field.
- In the Additional items section, select one of the following:
- Aluminum Panel
- Double Panel
- Tall Roof Vehicle
- The PDR cost is calculated when you click anywhere outside the text boxes. Click Update Part when you are finished making changes.
- Click Add Line to add the PDR line to the estimate. The added line will be available in the estimate as a Paintless Repair Operation, with the Part Type as Sublet, the Price as calculated by the PDR calculator, and the Labor Units as 0.
Note: An explanation line is automatically added to the PDR line.

You can also edit dent details with the PDR calculator to add or edit a paintless dent repair line in the estimate.
- From the Estimate tab in Mitchell Cloud Estimating, click the paintless dent repair line in the estimate.
- Click Calculate PDR, next to the Cancel and Done buttons.
- In the PDR calculator, you can view and edit the dent details. The PDR total will recalculate according to the changes you make.
- Click Update Part. The price for the line is updated with the calculated PDR total.
- You can edit any repair line for an external panel with a labor operation of R&R (Remove and Replace), if the paintless repair operation is valid. Change the operation from R&R to Paintless Repairto access the PDR calculator.

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) settings can be enabled or disabled in the company Estimate Profile which will be applied to each job the profile is used for. To enable or disable these settings, follow the steps below:

On the navigation pane in Mitchell Connect, select
Settings.
- Click Estimate Profiles on the Estimating card.
- Open the Company Estimate Profile.
- Select the Calculations Tab.
- Click Edit
and scroll down to the Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) section.
- The default includes PDR Explanation Lines and does not apply adjustment on PDR Sublet lines automatically. Change the state of these checkboxes to include or exclude the desired settings.
Select Save to update configurations to the estimate profile for all shops who use the profile.

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) settings can be enabled or disabled in the Estimate Profile on the job which will only apply to the settings of this particular job. To enable or disable these settings, follow the steps below:

Open the Estimate Profile Tab in Mitchell Cloud Estimating on the desired Estimate.
- Select the Calculations Tab.
- Click Edit
and scroll down to the Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) section.
- The default includes PDR Explanation Lines and does not apply adjustment on PDR Sublet lines automatically. Change the state of these checkboxes to include or exclude the desired settings.

Select Save to update configurations to the estimate profile for all shops who use the profile.
