View Estimate Total

You can view the current total for the estimate in Mitchell Cloud Estimating. The total automatically updates and as you make changes to the estimate. The estimate total for committed or in-progress estimates also appears on the Jobs page.

How to

  1. As you select parts and labor operations and add repair lines to the estimate, you can see the current in-progress estimate total in the top right corner of the Estimate Editor.

    The total dollar amount will recalculate as you add parts and labor to the estimate. It is also updated as you edit or delete repair lines, change the estimate profile, or make changes to the existing estimate profile.

  2. Click on the estimate total (dollar amount) to view the itemized Totals Breakdown. The following items are detailed in the breakdown that appears in the list window:
    • Labor
    • Parts
    • Additional Costs
    • Gross Total (Sum of above three figures)
    • Customer Responsibility (Less Customer Responsibility)
    • Net Total (Equals Net Total)

    The estimate total for committed or in-progress estimates also appears on the Jobs page in Mitchell Connect.

Mitchell Cloud Estimating and Mitchell Connect display the book value in the ACV (Approximate Cash Value) field on the Vehicle page and Estimate. If desired, you can configure a custom setting to use the market value ACV for the decoded vehicle instead of the book value. In WorkCenter, ensure the Use Market ACV option is set to Yes on the Mitchell Cloud Estimating: MCE Settings page.

You can view the Approximate Cash Value (ACV) on the Vehicle page after selecting a vehicle. You can also view the ACV inside the Estimate Editor.

To view this information on the Vehicle page, complete the following steps.

  1. Navigate to the Job Overview page of a job.
  2. Click the Vehicle card.
  3. Enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in the appropriate field or use assisted vehicle selection to select a vehicle.

The ACV displays in the vehicle information section in the right panel in the field Approximate Cash Value.

You can view the ACV and the gross total as a percentage of the ACV inside the Estimate Editor.

  1. Click Continue Estimate on the Job Overview page to access the Estimate Editor. You can view the ACV percentage anywhere within the estimate. You can also view the Itemized Estimate Totals.
  2. Click the Estimate Total in the top right to view the Itemized Estimate Totals.

In the Loss Designation section, the estimate Gross Total amount is shown as a percentage of the ACV:

  • Partial Loss / 0.0% of ACV ($ACV)

Note: A Total Loss Threshold can be set in the Estimate Profile to warn you when the estimate is a potential total loss. This threshold is saved automatically and imported with the Estimate profile if created in UltraMate.

  1. Click the arrow to the left of the Partial Loss field to view the percentage of the loss compared to the ACV and the total loss threshold.
