Parts Provider: PartsTrader
PartsTrader is an online service that provides collision repair shops with a source for procuring parts from leading OEM dealers, parts recyclers, and alternative parts suppliers. If you are licensed for PartsTrader, you can access it directly from an estimate in Mitchell Cloud Estimating.
How to
- On the navigation pane in Mitchell Connect, click Settings.
- Click Parts Provider on the Parts card.
- On the Parts Providers page, click Login. Type your Username and Password, then click Login in the PartsTrader Login window.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to complete your registration in PartsTrader.
- On the Parts Providers page in Mitchell Connect, make sure that the PartsTrader bar is Active. When you authenticate with PartsTrader successfully, the active bar is green.
- Click Done.
- In Mitchell Cloud Estimating, open a completed estimate.
- On the Estimate page click Send to PartsTrader. A spinning, grayed out, and not clickable wheel icon appears next to the link. This indicates the send parts data is being sent from Mitchell Cloud Estimating to the selected provider.
Note: In the 21.5 Release, Users with the ESTCT (Commercial Truck Add-on) role can utilize part sourcing links such as a APU for Medium Duty Truck vehicles. The part sourcing links remain hidden for estimates containing Commercial Heavy Duty or Generic Commercial type vehicles. Depending on the organization or shop configurations, the link(s) may not display.
- You will see a notification when the estimate is successfully sent to PartsTrader.
- Click the notification to open the PartsTrader website in a new browser window. Log in to PartsTrader.
- Continue the regular PartsTrader workflow.
If you are a Mitchell Cloud Estimating shop customer, follow the steps below.
After you send the estimate to PartsTrader, you can continue the PartsTrader bidding workflow. Once the bidding period has closed, PartsTrader allows you to send your part changes back to Mitchell Cloud Estimating.
