Automatic Part Preference Setting

Configure Mitchell Cloud Estimating to locate the most cost-effective part and automatically add it to the estimate instead of adding New OEM parts.

Automatic Part Preference Setting Option in Estimate Profile

1. Access the Estimate Profiles page:
• From an estimate, click Estimate Profiles.
• From Mitchell Connect, click Settings > Estimate Profiles.
2. On the Estimate Profiles page, click the profile you want to edit, and then click Parts.
3. Make sure the correct estimate profile is selected in the Selected Estimate Profile list, and then click Edit.
4. Make sure the correct alternate parts profile is selected in the Use list.

5. In the Part Auto-Substitution section, and select one of the following:

   • Auto-Substitute Off: (Default) New OEM parts are automatically selected.
   • Auto-Substitute ON: The most cost-effective parts are automatically selected instead of New OEM parts; includes recycled parts.
   • Auto-Substitute ON, Excluding Recycled Parts: The most cost-effective parts are automatically selected, but excludes recycled parts.

     

   Click Apply Changes.
