Set Repair Order Preferences in Mitchell Cloud Repair (Canada Only)
Use repair order preferences to apply different tax configurations required for shops in Canada. Some shops in Canada may need to apply different Provincial Tax rates for labor and parts in addition to Goods and Services tax. These settings are shop-wide settings.
Note: These settings are only available for customers in Canada and only applicable for Payable Invoices.
How to

In the navigation pane, select Settings.

On the Settings page, select Repair Preferences.

Select the RO Settings tab if not already selected.

Next to Tax Configuration, select one of the following:

HST: Harmonized Sales Tax for one tax rate for all services.

GST: Goods and Services Tax. Additional fields appear that allow you to apply Provincial Sales Tax for both Labor and Parts separately in addition to Goods and Services Tax.

If you selected HST, enter the tax percentage in the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) box, and then select Save to complete the setting. If you selected GST, go to the next step.

If you selected GST, do any of the following to apply Provincial Sales Tax:

Select the check box next to Labor Tax and enter the percentage in the corresponding field.

Select the check box next to Parts & Cost Tax and enter the percentage in the corresponding field.
Tip: If you don’t want to apply PST on Labor or Part & Cost or both, then uncheck the corresponding checkbox.
