Export EMS

Use Export EMS to download a copy of the Estimate Management System (EMS) file to any location on your computer. When you add an estimate to Mitchell Connect, your estimate is removed from your estimating system. Use Export EMS to save a copy of your estimate for future reference. You can export the EMS file from the Job Overview Page or the Estimate Manager page.

How to

Export the Estimate from the Estimate Manager page. You can only export the latest version of the estimate.

  1. On the Estimate Manager page, click the arrow next to Export EMS and select the View Import/Export Settings option in the list.

  2. In the Export & Import Settings window, select either the EMS Export or BMS Export tabs and configure up to ten destination folders for export . If desired, select the Auto Export checkbox to export the configured EMS and BMS paths upon committing the estimate.
  3. The following functionality occurs depending on your export settings:
    • The file is exported to the folder you specified in the Export & Import Settings window settings.
    • If you have not configured the export settings:
      • If you have not already configured the export settings, in the Export & Import Settings window, click Browse for Location to find the folder to export the EMS file and click Export. Click Change if you need to change the export folder.

  4. Click Done to return to the Job Overview page.
