Main Window Components
The Main window of the WorkCenter provides a standard set of controls and navigation tools, which are available according to the products included in your WorkCenter and your permissions-based level of access.
The Main window components are in the top two bars inside your browser window: the System bar and the Menu bar.
System Bar
The System bar at the top of the window shows your user name and provides access to your account and the Help system. You can also log out of WorkCenter for security purposes.

User Identifies the current user. |

Help Opens the online Help. |

Logout Closes your session and returns you to the Login window. Mitchell recommends that you log out whenever you plan to be away from your station for an extended amount of time. |

My Account Opens the My Account window where you can verify your account information and change your e-mail address, password, and secret question. You can also change your start page, which determines the first view you see when you log in to WorkCenter. |
Menu Bar
The second row of the Main Window components provides access to various features, based on the modules loaded into the WorkCenter, such as Search, Work Queue, and Reports. Simply move your mouse pointer over the menu name to see the available options and click the option you want.

Work Queue Select any available option to refresh the Work Queue list. You can reduce the number of items in the list using Filters. |

New Select Assignment to open a new assignment form. |

Search Select a general category to open the search form. |
|
Manage Select Business Relationships to open the Manage Business Relationships window. |

Reports Select an available Report to open the report window. |
Not all menus and options are available for all users. The menus and options available to you are based on your user login permissions.
Global Search
Work Center has two Global Search features. The Global Search field in the menu bar searches across claims, assignments, and estimates using six or more characters from the claim number. Using the Global Search from the Search menu opens a global search page. From the global search page, you can enter one or more characters and search for claims, assignments, total loss valuations, and estimates based on the claim number. The global search page also provides multiple levels of search results detail.
How to

On the Search menu, click Global Search. The Global Search page defaults to a global search by Claim Number and Claims.

Choose a search category, e.g., Claim Number, VIN, License Plate, Policy Number, Party Name, Staff/Shop Name, Contact Name.

Enter one or more characters in the Search field and press ENTER or click the magnifying glass icon to search.

View the results in the Claims, Estimates, or Assignments lists.
Note: You can choose between various amounts of detail for each result. In the View list above the search results choose Small, Medium, or Large to change the level of results detail. Global Search is intended to search based on a single claim number, VIN, license plate, policy number, party name, contact number or shop/staff name.

The Global Search bar provides a quick and easy way to search for claims, assignments, total loss valuations, and estimates based on the claim number.
You can enter a partial claim number of at least six characters.
- Enter the claim number you want to find.
- Select Claims, Assignments, or Estimate from the list.
- Click Search.
The claim appears in the search results list.
Note: Global Search is intended to search based on a single claim number, VIN, license plate, policy number, party name, contact number or shop/staff name.
